The Course aims to help senior leaders develop the skills that are essential to be effective and successful. It is also ideally suited to enthusiastic middle leaders aiming for senior management posts. Develop a clearer understanding of what successful senior leadership entails, roles and responsibilities, and how to deliver what is required. Examine the factors that are essential for successful senior leadership, leadership skills and styles. Identify the characteristics of the most effective leaders within schools so that you can identify your own strengths and weaknesses and devise a personal development strategy. Consider how you can manage time better in order to be less reactive and make more time for leadership. Focus on what makes change work and how. When presenting new ideas and initiating change understand how to win the commitment of your colleagues. The course uses a case study approach to provide practical suggestions and guidance.
