Alan Jones is an expert on leadership and learning, performance coaching and emotional intelligence. He has run numerous seminars across the UK to enable education as well as business leaders improve their management, coaching and mentoring skills to motivate their teams and improve performance. Alan is a Member of the Institute of Leadership and Management, an accredited ‘Index360’ Coach, is a lead trainer with the Institute for Neuro-Linguistic Psychology and he devised the Quality Coaching Solutions Programme. He is a prolific writer and author. Alan has over 22 years of teaching experience in secondary schools in London and Cornwall across a range of subjects and is an inspirational trainer who can translate his extensive theoretical knowledge into effective, practical strategies.
The Course aims to give subject leaders, and aspiring subject leaders, the management, communication and coaching skills they will need to create a motivated, cohesive and highly successful subject team. It will explore the characteristics of effective subject leadership and look at how principle-centred practice can raise standards. The day will examine the coaching leadership style and the coaching framework in detail as an interactive and dynamic process and will cover professional appraisal and performance management. It will also cover effective change management. The course will consider the links between leadership, emotional intelligence and coaching and it will equip delegates with a range of tools to not only improve the performance of staff in a supportive and non-threatening manner but to strengthen and improve interpersonal relations.

Conference Fees
The fee for the conference is £219 + VAT (VAT is claimed back by schools). Additional delegates from the same school only £198 + VAT. There is an additional London supplement of £15 + VAT to cover the cost of the hotel. Delegates will receive a conference pack, refreshments and lunch. Reservations are accepted on the understanding that applicants agree to our terms and conditions. The submission of an application form represents a firm booking. The full fee is payable if there is a cancellation within 14 days of the start of the conference, otherwise there is a £50 cancellation and administration fee. Substitutions can be made at any time. |
